Social Studies:
· Our fifth grade social studies curriculum includes:
*Explorers
*Connections Across Continents
*Colonial Life in North America
*The American Revolution
-Map skills and geography will be emphasized throughout the year-
· Students will keep notes in a social studies notebook.
*At the beginning of each unit, they will be given a packet
*Homework pages will be assigned from their workbooks and packets.
Their notebook should be reviewed nightly.
In 5th and 6th grade, students will be involved in a GEOGRAPHY BEE competition in the spring.
