I graduated from Northwestern Lehigh High School in 1981. I graduated magna cum laude from Kutztown University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a concentration in Early Childhood Education in 1985. I began working at Slatington Elementary in December 1986. I was married June 20, 1987, to an educator who is now an assistant principal at a local middle school. My first son was born in 1990, and my second son was born in 1993. I have taught grades 1, 2, and 6 at Slatington Elementary. I earned a Master's Equivalency from the State of Pennsylvania in 2000. I became the Instructional Support Teacher (IST) at Slatington Elementary in September 2001. In September 2002 I became the IST at Peters Elementary as well. When we began to use Response to Intervention in September 2005, I became the Intervention Coordinator at Slatington Elementary and began working with small groups of students who are identified through a school wide standardized screening to be in need of additional academic support. I am also a member of the Slatington Elementary Student Assistance Program (SAP Team). I continue to enjoy my years as an educator in the Northern Lehigh School District.
